Factions and Reputations

Quel'Athillien boasts a population that is both unique and diverse. While a hard-fought peace has been maintained through the land, that is not to say that everyone always sees eye-to-eye on everything, nor do they get along. In order to get some things done, a person may find themselves needing to ensure that their reputation with certain areas and groups is not bankrupt and that their reptuations with other groups are not always known to ensure they can get what they need. Factions and reputations within Quel'Athillien are what help characters grow within their story. Here is a brief listing of some of the factions. Clicking on them will take you directly to their page where you can find out more about how to gain reputation with that group or faction.

THE FAE

Legend has it that these small, firefly-like creatures were the very origins of magic first on Azeroth. While their numbers dwindle, this faction finds itself in the grips of a seemingly never-ending civil war with itself. The "underfae" are a sub-group who have defected into the dark recesses of Bogwater.

THE MAGISTRATES

Men and women who take the law seriously, the Magistrates are the cogs that make the kingdom go 'round in the political arena. Having taken an oath to uphold justice, many of the Magistrates still tend to bend the laws to suit their own desires.

THE COMMONFOLK

Bakers, blacksmiths and candlemakers comprise the common, everyday people of the kingdom. Depending upon the region where they are, a person may find themselves among great, easy friends or those who are wary and far more malevolent.

THE ORDER OF THE SEVEN

Risen from the Conclave, the origins of this order start with seven students who had decided that the restrictions of chaotic and eldritch magics was unbecoming of a place of magical theorums. Having taken to the Dragonfire Citadel, they have opened up their halls to those who profess the darker arts for a greater purpose.

THE CORVIDIAN BROTHERHOOD

Originally known as the 'Black Candle Society,' the Corvidian Brotherhood is said to be the keepers of ancient secrets, rites and artifacts. These all-but-unknown members keep a cult-like view of their possessions and knowledge, believing only they have the ability to understand and control it.

FELLOWSHIP OF THE ARGENT DRAGON

Now that Deathwing has been defeated, the dragonflights search the far reaches of Azeroth for new homes. With the leylines converging so easily, and the presence of Seredane none too far away, the dragonflights have sent their representatives to seek alliances with the mortals of Quel'Athillien.

THE VANDORI

A mysterious, but vibrant culture of people, the Vandori are wandering tradesmen and entertainers; often coming to large cities and hosting celebrations based off of the solar calender. As friendly as they are, they often keep to themselves, if only because they are looked upon by the Magistrates as thieves and brigands.

THE CONCLAVE

The magical epicenter in Dal'Danil begun by Duchess Ledaria Dawntreader, the Conclave has become the educational movement within Quel'Athillien, professing some of the brightest minds to be had within the kingdom. THE ILLIDARI

With the return of the Legion, the Illidari have likewise made a return. While many of the commonfolk find them to be disturbing, and often shun them to the fringes of society, there are a few who are seeking to make headway and perhaps find a more permanent, stable place from which to protect Azeroth.

THE SWAMP DRUIDS

Deep within the darkness of Bogwater, a tribe of plagueshifting druids has coalesced. Believing that their power draws from the swampy mysteries of the bogs and willow marshes, they have been rumored to attack outsiders or even draw in potential sacrifices.

THE SHAMAN OF THE MOUNTAIN

In the upper reaches of the mountains, many of the Highland Dwarves have taken to building themselves a shamanistic community. While a great number of them still live among the everyday people, they will often gather at specific intervals during the year to have a Moot. While Orcs are scarece among their ranks, some do exist.
