Quel'Athillien Information

Many thousands of years ago, the kingdom of Quel'Athillien began as a small dot on a widely uncharted map. In the cleft of the bosom of two mountain ranges that framed the southeastern portion of Lordaeron, a fertile landscape lay dormant, waiting for the day when it would be discovered by wayward rangers seeking the mysteries of the world beyond the Blackened Forest, now known as the Ghostlands. Upon such an intrinsic find, they began to map the given area and decided it would be truly a gift worth giving the lord of their house. Over the many years, and the exchange it has had, the 'High Mountain' has developed a rich and inviting history fraught with both pain and splendor, making it one of the most coveted parcels of land and community on Azeroth, rivaled only by the history of Lordaeron, Gilneas and Stormwind. Below are some of the histories and mysteries of Quel'Athillien and its landscape. For more information about the kingdom, click on the links below.

THE HISTORY OF QUEL'ATHILLIEN

A comprehnsive in-character book for those who are seeking to get a little closer to the kingdom's war-and-peace culture. Pieced together by the Monastics in the Corvidian Brotherhood, this book traces the lines of the land to thousands of years before it was given to the Royal House of Sunwhisper and the many fauna, flora and... monsters... that crawled the land. This book can be found in the Grand Library in Dal'Danil and always seems to have "the last copy" available to anyone who wishes to read it. Don't ask the librarian how that happens.

THE ROYAL HOUSE OF SUNWHISPER

A collection of stories and histories on the house of Sunwhisper, beginning from its roots as Highborne in Zin'Azshari. The royal family is always a good cache for gossip and rumormill, this book either dispells many of the rumors that have circulated or creates new ones. Y'shere Sunwhisper was the progenitor of the family that would eventually come to be understood as the greatest Elven dynasties that near-rivaled the Sunstrider dominion. As nobility for Queen Azshara, the Sunwhispers were gifted with the ability of magic against their foes, and sometimes... their own family...

DRAGON'S GATE

Toward the more northern reaches of the kingdom, tucked away near an inactive volcano, Dragon's Gate and its people have found a way to harness the raw, unbridled energy of fire whether through shamanism or arcane, they pride themselves on being able to provide Quel'Athillien with more chaotic magics. It gives the market climate, culture, religion and area of the duchy along with information about the ruling house and the townships.

HEARTWOOD

At the very 'heart' of Quel'Athillien, Heartwood is a controlled area of woodland where much of the military sits and trains among the tall redwood trees just below the upper reaches of the mountains. TIDEWATCH

A military base cultivated along the coastline, Tidewatch is a recent addition to Quel'Athillien; a purchase from the druids of Seradane in order to facilitate the need for open trade among both the Horde and the Alliance as well as independent factions such as themselves. Quel'Athillien's great navy is stationed here. It gives the market climate, culture, religion and area of the duchy along with information about the ruling house and the townships.

WOLF'S RUN

While not a traditional duchy or county, Wolf's Run is a gamimg preserve where many of those who are rangers or animal enthusiasts have gathered to ensure that the flora and fauna of Quel'Athillien are preserved, studied and catalogued. A far reaching expanse between the mysteries of Bogwater and the mountain regions of Riverheart and Dragon's Gate, Wolf's Run is nestled quietly away. It gives the market climate, culture, religion and area of the duchy along with information about the ruling house and the townships.
